The Project Launch
National Association of Libraries and Librarians in Romania - ANBPR held today, Wednesday, February 22, 2017, launching the innovative project PartneringStarter .This project was named the winner in the competition Innovation Awards 2016 organized by Future Library in the ring Balkans International Network of Emerging Library Innovators.
The project proposes to open a modern service, custom designed to support libraries in the work on facilitating partnerships. PartneringStarter receives a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, facilitated by Future Library Greece.
Conference to launch the project was hosted at the National Library, where they had the opportunity to meet more than 35 professionals interested in the project, coming from different fields - environmental NGOs, public institutions, business area and media representatives.
Through the activities proposed project PartneringStarter proposes a modern approach to the issue and unique partnerships. Project scenario is based on the development of software solutions matching partners, implemented across ANBPR.
Partnerships dedicated management platform, in development, is a complex web application based on a multi-layered database. ANBPR hopes that by implementing this innovative project to help improve the knowledge and practices of identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, involving libraries, local authorities, NGOs and other interested entities.
The project PartneringStarter is an innovative way to raise public awareness on the value of cultivating responsible partnerships. In addition, through this initiative, ANBPR wants to encourage collaboration between different types of organizations and experts in interdisciplinary spirit and exchange of know-how.
